The Manthan Elections for choosing the new committee for the year 07-08 will be held on Jul 2nd at 7.00 PM. The Venue is Sutherland Rec Room. Snacks will be served on the occasion. Request all of you to be present for the occasion and choose the new committee.

Manthan and ASHA, Knoxville Picnic

Manthan and ASHA group of Knoxville will be hosting a day long picnic on Jun 17th in Clark center park, Oak Ridge. It will be a good opportunity to have fun and meet friends. The park has 2 softball courts,a basketball court, and few other courts and lot of grills. There will be different games, and snacks will be served as well and we will also have a barbecue. There will be an entry fee, which will go towards ASHA group. We would love to see you all there as its for a
good cause. We will send an evite soon and we request all of you to please respond to the invitation.

Henna Nite

We have our Indian Culture Nite/Henna Nite on Wednesday Nov 8th from 6.30 PM
8.30 PM at I-House Great Room. Dinner will be served. Please try to make it
to the event. Also, all those who are interested/skillful in putting Henna,
please mail back to manthan@utk.edu. We'll need your help.

Manthan Diwali Event!!

Manthan will be celebrating its biggest event of the year, Diwali - "Deep Jalao, Dhoom Machao!" on the 22nd October at UC Auditorium. Entry Fee is $5 for UT Students and $7 for others. Food will be served FREE (until it lasts) and Sitar will be providing the food. Be there to enjoy an afternoon of Indian culture showcased through different programs and also enjoy some fine Indian cuisine!

Timings: Lunch will be served from 12 PM - 2 PM, Events start from 2 PM - 4 PM.

IAA Diwali Event

The Indian American Association(IAA) will be celebrating their Diwali event, 'Diwali: Ek Raat Ki Roshini' on October 28th from 7 PM with appetizers being served at 6 PM. The event will be held in Clarence Brown Theatre, UT Campus. Admission fee is $10 for general public and $5 for UT students. Contact iaa@utk.edu for more information. Contact person is Ritu Rana.

Manthan Diwali Event

This year's Diwali event by Manthan will be hosted on Oct 22nd at UC Auditorium. The event starts at 12 PM with lunch and the programs will start by around 1.30 PM. Admission is free.

Garba Nite by IAA and Manthan

Garba Nite will be hosted by Manthan and the Indian American Association(IAA) on the 22nd of September, from 7 PM at UT HPER Building (on Andy Holt Ave, before T-recs). Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations and Film screening in Library

Hello everyone,

First of all, a warm welcome to the 3 new committee members Manpreet, Neha and Pruthvi and thanks to everyone who was present and cast their votes.

We will be celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi this Saturday evening at Sutherland Rec Room from 7.30 PM. Please be there for the occasion.

Also, I-House will be screening the movie 'Rang De Basanti' in Hodges Library on Sep 5th 7.30 PM. Snacks also will be served. Be there and enjoy the movie (and snacks)

Manthan General Body Meeting

Hi everyone,

The 1st GBM of the new committee will be held this Thursday from 5.30 PM to 9 PM, and will be held in I-House Great Room. Also during this time, 3 students from the new batch will be added to the committee. And of course, its also time for some free Pizza!!

Request everyone of you to be there on time (as much as possible! :)). See you all there.
